Hi, everyone. I only have my earlobes pierced right now, but I’m dying to add a couple more earrings a little higher up, along the contour of my ear. What types of ear piercings are considered the least problematic for those who haven’t had cartilage repair before? And how many earrings are piercers usually willing to pierce in one session without damaging my immune system?

My first cartilage piercing took almost a year to heal, even though it was a very simple contour piercing. My earlobes are barely noticeable in comparison. I think the key is to get a straight labret right away, not a ring. Then the ear heals much faster and is less likely to be bothersome.

For your first time, it’s best to go with something simpler and no more than two per session, so it’s easier on your body. Check out the options on https://thefalltattooing.com/pages/ear-piercings . I got my ear pierced there myself, and the piercer was very knowledgeable. He did everything in a second, took the instruments out of the sterilizer right in front of me, and the base titanium is excellent quality, so my ear didn’t complain at all.
