GuestHey everyone, I’m just starting to think about selling on Amazon, and I’m really confused about whether I should go with an Individual seller account or a Professional one. I’ve heard that Professional accounts can save you money if you sell a lot, but I’m not even sure what “a lot” really means in practice. Does anyone have real experience with switching accounts or deciding which is best when you’re just starting out? I feel like I don’t want to pay extra fees unnecessarily, but I also don’t want to limit myself down the road.

GuestPersonally, I started with Individual to test the waters, but I switched to Professional after about three months because I realized I was already hitting close to 50 sales a month and wanted the extra tools to manage everything efficiently. If you want, this article explains the differences really well and helped me make the decision: https://www.sellerlogic.com/en/blog/how-to-start-selling-on-amazon/

GuestI’ve been using a Professional account from the start, mainly because I knew I’d need the inventory tools and advertising options, but honestly, if you’re just testing the waters, starting as an Individual isn’t a bad idea. It’s kind of a low-risk way to learn the platform without paying a monthly fee upfront, and you can always upgrade later if you need more features.
